Theta Tau is the oldest, largest, and foremost fraternity for engineers. Since its founding at the University of Minnesota in 1904,

over 40,000 brothers have been initiated. With an emphasis on quality and a strong fraternal bond between members, we are proud to be one of the many chapters of Theta Tau across the nation.

The Sigma Gamma Colony (now called Candidate Chapters) was founded in 2006 and was chartered in 2007, at which point we received full chapter status. Since then, we have continued to grow. Every semester, the Sigma Gamma chapter hosts professional, service, and social events at the University of Rhode Island campus. We currently have 42 Active brothers and we hope to recruit some Potential New Members once the new semester begins!
